Vliedberg, Bruges

Vliedberg, Bruges

Vliedberg is a newly constructed retirement home equiped with a BTES geothermal plant. Heat is extracted from the subsoil and delivered to the heat pump.

St. Vincentius, Antwerp

St. Vincentius, Antwerp

Sint-Vincentius hospital uses a BTES system to extract the heat from the subsoil. Because of the surface area restraints, the vertical heat exchangers are located beneath the building.

Eandis Headquarters, Melle

The EANDIS office building provides accommodation for 650 people. The Terra Energy geothermal solutions provide heating and cooling for the whole building.

Geothermal Heating and Cooling

Terra Energy's geothermal heating and cooling solutions bring you perfect comfort while reducing energy expenses by up to 80%. Our team delivers green, sustainable systems with lower costs, lower emissions, and better results than conventional technologies.

Our Offer

Dankzij onze expertise in geothermische en grondgekoppelde energiesystemen en onze geïntegreerde projectaanpak kunnen wij geothermische projecten van A tot Z aansturen.

History

The Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) developed several key technologies in the geothermal energy field. In order to see the widest possible application of these developments, VITO engineers formed Terra Energy in 2008.

Technologies

Terra Energy's engineering tradition is the continuation of 15 years of groundbreaking geothermal energy research and development at VITO. Our specialists have literally worked with these technologies since inception.

Geothermal heating and cooling just feels better than conventional systems. Using radiant floor heating and ground-temperature reservoirs avoids the harsh temperature and humidity differentials created by classical air conditioning. For a more pleasant, natural, and healthy building, consider a geothermal system by Terra Energy.

Terra Energy geothermal heating and cooling systems are green, renewable, and sustainable; they're also a good deal.

In the short term, you can reasonably expect between a 15 and 50% yearly return on investment, with a payback period of three to ten years for most installations. Outside of the payback period, the economic benefits of a geothermal energy system increase markedly. Your yearly energy expenditures for heating and cooling will be up to 80% less than with conventional systems, even before adjusting for reduced maintenance costs.

This margin will only increase over time, as oil and gas become less accessible and more expensive.
